Dirk Jongkind expresses doubts about the autenticity of the fragment of the so-called “Gospel of Jesus’ Wife” here. This is just the sort of testing of scholarly claims that characterizes good scholarly discussion. We’ll all have to watch to see how things settle out. Dirk does raise an interesting point about the curious shape and dimensions of the fragment, and that all agree that it has this shape and size likely because someone (in the current scene) shaped it.
